🎂🥮🥞 Some Baking Mistakes
Introduction:
When I started baking, I thought it was just “mix and bake” Over time, I made few mistakes. Some were frustrating, funny, but I learned from all.
Let me share a few so you don’t have to go through the same thing!
❌ 1. You Didn’t Measure Properly
At first, I used just “eye measurement” — a spoon here, a cup there. But baking is not like cooking meal. Now I use proper cups and spoons, and my cakes are softer and balanced.
♨️ 2. You Opened the Oven Too Early
I used to open the oven every 10 minutes to check if it’s rising. That was my mistake. It made the cake sink in the middle without rising. Now I wait at least 20–25 minutes before checking.
➕️3. You Overmixed My Batter
I used to think the more I mix, the better. But overmixing it made my cakes come out tough. Now I mix gently and stop once everything is combined. Stress-free
😕4. You Forgot to Preheat the Oven
Baking without preheating means the cake doesn’t rise well. Now, You turn on the oven first before you even start mixing.
✋️5. You Didn’t Let Your Cake Cool Before Removing It
One time I tried to remove a hot cake from the pan and everything scattered. Since then, I wait 10–15 minutes before turning it out. Trust me, it makes a huge difference.
💬 Final Words:
We all make mistakes in the kitchen, especially at the beginning. But each one teaches us something. If you’re just starting out, take your time, don’t be hard on yourself, and enjoy the process.
Happy baking! 🧁💕
